Editorial Standards & Ethics
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Editorial independence
KFN’s newsroom decisions—whom to interview, what to ask, what to publish, and how to frame stories—are made by our editorial team. No advertiser, sponsor, or business partner is entitled to dictate coverage or bury unfavorable facts in exchange for payment.
Accuracy and corrections
We strive to verify claims that go to our audience, especially on consequential topics. When we publish a material error, we correct it and note the correction where readers can reasonably find it (for example an update line on the page, a correction notice, or an on-platform correction on video).
Transparency and conflicts
If a subject, funder, or partner has a close personal or financial tie to someone on the team, we disclose it to the audience when the relationship could reasonably affect perception of fairness. When in doubt, we disclose.
Sponsored content and partnerships
Paid or sponsored segments must be clearly labeled at the point of publication (title, intro, on-screen graphic, or audio disclaimer—match the medium). Sponsored content is not passed off as impartial news analysis.
Commercial partnerships
Sponsored segments, paid partnerships, and other commercial relationships are kept distinct from our news and interview coverage. They are clearly labeled at the point of publication. We do not sell undisclosed pay-to-play editorial placement.
Sources and attribution
We credit other outlets, documents, and creators when we rely on their work. We do not present aggregated wire or third-party reporting as our own original reporting without clear attribution.
Privacy and harm
We weigh the public interest against unnecessary harm to private individuals. We avoid doxxing, gratuitous exposure of non-public figures, and speculative reporting presented as fact.
Anonymous tips and audience feedback
If you want to suggest coverage or share feedback without using email, KFN links to optional, third-party surveys hosted by Wellness Pulse: anonymous story tips and anonymous newsroom feedback. They are intended for 100% anonymous participation so community members can speak with confidence; those pages (not kfn.one) explain how responses are handled. You can still reach us through Contact or contact@kfn.one for ethics and corrections.
Feedback and complaints
To raise an ethics concern or request a correction, contact contact@kfn.one with “Ethics” or “Correction” in the subject line, or use the Contact form. We cannot promise a public response to every message, but we read serious inquiries.
