Directed by Ness Shroff, the hub fuses AI with foundations, health, engineering and sciences, agriculture, cybersecurity, and trustworthy AI. Provost Ravi Bellamkonda has framed it as a catalyst connecting faculty and students for ethical, impactful AI. It sits beside—not instead of—the teaching transformation.

AI Fluency embeds AI into general education and majors so students can use, question, and innovate with tools—not only click chatbots. The Drake Institute supports faculty. One hundred new AI faculty (first cohort autumn 2026) are meant to sustain both research and curriculum at Buckeye scale (~300 scholars already working with AI).
