A university-wide AI brief
Started in 2021 when Bala led the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the AI Initiative was designed to deepen AI inside computing and across AI-influenced disciplines. The 2026 expansion treats AI as something Cornell also applies to teaching, administration, and clinical settings—with responsible, human-centered use as the stated frame.
